Last year, Indonesian anime streaming service, Ponimu, had announced that Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms film will be available in Indonesia via their streaming service. At that time, Ponimu does not specify the release date because the film was still being screened in cinema overseas.
On July 1, 2019, it was announced that Maquia has finally been available on Ponimu. It was announced on their social media and official website. The film is listed on the “Premium Video” section, which means it is only available for paying subscribers.

“Maquia is a woman who came from a tribe whose members will never grow old since their teens. She spends her time peacefully until her tribe is attacked by kingdom troops. She saved herself but lost her family and friend. The most beautiful woman in her tribe, Leilia, was kidnapped by the troops. While all alone, she met Ariel, a baby without parents. Maquia then raised Ariel event though she won’t grow old while Ariel becomes older every day. Can Maquia and Ariel found their happiness?”
Starting its service on July 31, Ponimu is an anime streaming service that aims to bring simulcasted anime with high quality for Indonesian audience. The services had already simulcasted some anime with Indonesian subtitles, Including Merc StoriA, Ms. Vampire who Lives in My Neighborhood, Meiji Tokyo Renka, and is currently simulcasting Demon Lord, Retry!. They also streamed some anime series that are not simulcasted like Girls und Panzer and Tari-Tari, and Indonesian animation like Bandung Lautan Api.
