Comic book publisher Elex Media Komputindo is releasing Naomichi Io‘s Oregairu manga in Indonesia with the title My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong As I Expected @Comic. According to the publisher’s weekly book release listing, the first volume of the manga is scheduled for release on June 24, 2020. Book retailer Gramedia’s online shop lists the book with the retail price of IDR 28,000 (about US$ 1.99).

Here is the synopsis of the manga’s first volume from Gramedia’s online shop:

Youth is an illusion where people live together in hypocrisy, so thought Hachiman Hikigaya. However, his teacher decides to make him learn to socialize by putting him in the Service Club together with a pretty and smart girl named Yukino Yukinoshita who also can’t go along well with others.

Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru. or Oregairu for short, is a series of light novels written by Wataru Watari and illustrated by Ponkan8. Published by Shogakukan‘s Gagaga Bunko imprint since 2011 until ending with the 14th volume in November 2018. By April 2017 the series has sold over 5 million copies and took first place in Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! rangking for bunkobon category in 2014, 2015, dan 2016.

The series has been adapted into anime TV series. The first season, directed by Ai Yoshimura at Brain’s Base, aired in spring 2013. The second season, directed by Kei Oikawa at feel, aired in spring 2015. The third season, again produced at feel with Kei Oikawa directing, was supposed to air in spring 2020, but has been postponed to summer 2020 because of the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Naomichi Io’s manga is serialized in Shogakukan’s Monthly Sunday Gene-X since 2012 and has been collected into 15 tankoubon volumes so far. Another manga series based on the novels, Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru. -Mougenroku- has been serialized in Square Enix’s Big Gangan magazine since 2012 and has been collected into 16 tankoubon volumes so far.

Elex Media Komputindo is a comics publisher under the Kompas-Gramedia Group. The publisher releases licensed foreign comics, including manga, and also Indonesian comics.
