Burn the Witch is set in the same setting as Kubo’s previous work, Bleach. The main characters are Ninny Spangcole and Noel Niihashi, two “witches” or agents of Wing Bind, an agency that protects and manage dragons in Reverse London, a hidden side of London populated by dragons. The manga began as a one-shot chapter in 16 July 2018 edition of Weekly Shonen Jump, and then was followed by a four-chapter serialization from August to September 2020 that is termed as the “first season,” with the tankoubon volume released in October 2020. An anime film produced by Studio Colorido was also released in October 2020, with Muse Communication streaming the anime on YouTube for Southeast and South Asia in three episodes format. A “second season” of the manga has also been announced at the release of the final chapter of the “first season.”
m&c! is a comics publisher under the Kompas-Gramedia group. Other than publishing manga, the publisher also publishes Disney comics magazines, and books, Hong Kong martial arts comics, as well as Indonesian comics under the Koloni imprint.
