As it has been announced before, Tetsuo Kurata, the actor of Kotaro Minami in tokusatsu series Kamen Rider Black and Kamen Rider Black RX will come to Indonesia in 2017 to attend THE JAKARTA Toys And Comics Fair 2017.
Recently, Victory Toys, as the organizer of the event has announced that Kurata will be able to come to Indonesia earlier in the coming August this year. Kurata has been scheduled to come to the event named Battle of the Toys, from the same organizer of THE JAKARTA Toys And Comics Fair. Battle of the Toys will be held on August 27-28, 2016 in JI Expo, Kemayoran, Hall B3.
Tetsuo Kurata first played the eponymous character of the tokusatsu series Kamen Rider Black in 1987. He continued the role in the sequel series, Kamen Rider Black RX in 1989. Kamen Rider Black RX has been adapted for American television by Saban Entertainment as Masked Rider in 1995.
In Indonesia, Kamen Rider Black and Black RX had been aired under the title of Satria Baja Hitam (Black Armoured Knight) and Satria Baja Hitam RX on RCTI in 1992 and on Indosiar in 2004. In Indonesia, Kotaro Minami’s voice had been redubbed in Indonesian by voice actors Adang Sudarto (1992), Tri Adi Setiawan (2004), and Bonar (2013). The Black series were the first Kamen Rider series shown on Indonesian TV. As such, Tetsuo Kurata has been the most well known and beloved Kamen Rider actor among Indonesian tokusatsu fans.
Tetsuo Kurata had reprised his role as Kotaro Minami in the Kamen Rider Decade TV show and the crossover movie Kamen Rider Decade: All Riders VS Dai Shocker. The movie had also been aired on Indosiar on May 19, 2013. Last year, in 2015, Tetsuo Kurata had also played in the tokusatsu series Satria BIMA X as Satria Naga Ko, where he has spoken lines in Indonesian.
To celebrate this event, there will be a special ticket pre-order that will be opened on June 21st.
