After the release of their first game Just Deserts, and the ongoing development of their new game Void; Vifth Floor, in collaboration with NextHeaven Circle, anncounced their next visual novel project, Xagia Wars.
Xagia Wars is a fantasy-themed visual novel game. Set on Magna, a country blessed by the power of Mystical Beast Leonhart, Xagia Wars tells the story of Isaac, a student on Magna’s Magic Academy. He was born and raised by good parents, have caring friends and good grades at the academy– Isaac lived a wonderfully happy live.
But then, one day when he was going to school, his train got attacked by a ferocious monster. Isaac struggled to defeat the monster, but in the battle, he was killed by a mysterious figure believed to be responsible for the monster attack. After that, Isaac found himself lying in the school infirmary but still alive.
Isaac remembered the event very clearly as if it was really happened– or was it? He continues to remember what a mysterious girl said moments before his death, that his fate is already decided. What does that mean? Was that event actually only a dream?
A promotional video for Xagia Wars had also been released, featuring soundtrack from Visuvia Circle, with vocal by IMochi.
There are two gameplay systems that has been announced so far, the Race and Magica System. Race is simply the character’s biological identity, which are separated into three different groups. The first is Human, which doesn’t have any special traits but adapt easily. The second is Kava, blessed with physical strength. And the last is Alder which has strong compability with arte magica.
Magica system is a power given by the Mystical Beast Leonahart. This includes three different types of Magic. The first is Summon to call a mystical beast to help in battles. The second is Enchantee to increase physical power. The last is Artes, which is control of the four elements.
As the game is still in development, it hasn’t been revealed yet when the game will be fully released.
