The comic magazine re:ON comics recently announced on their Facebook fanpage, that two of their action comic series, Galauman and Tawur, will be released in compiled volume format (similar to Japanese tankoubon) as both of the series are well-received. The comics will be launched at Indonesia Comic Con 2015, with special Comic Con version of the covers.
Galauman is written by Ockto Baringbing with illustration by Ino Septian. Gabriel Laurent is a young man who transforms into a superhero called Galauman when experiencing heartbreak (“galau” is a word which refers to distraught feelings, such as those felt from a heartbreak). Despite the ridiculous-sounding premise, Galauman is well received by the readers.
Tawur is created by C. Suryo Laksono. The story depicts the battles between high school students who participated in a shady program to obtain funding for their respective schools. The series has finished its first arc on the 13th issue of re:ON Comics magazine.
This release would make the third and fourth series of re:ON comics released as compiled volumes, following Me VS Big Slacker Baby and Grand Legend Ramayana that has been launched earlier at re:ON’s fan convention, re:CON.
