Indonesian comics publisher m&c! is releasing Tatsuya Hamazaki’s novel adaptation of One Piece ~Defeat the Pirate Ganzack~ in Indonesia. The book is included in the list of new comic book releases for 26 January 2022. According to the product page on Gramedia.com, the suggested retail price for the book is IDR 70000 (about US$ 4.9).
The synopsis of the novel as given on the Gramedia.com product page is as follows:
A Plesiosaur attack separates Luffy, Zoro, and Nami who were adrift at sea. The Plesiosaur is under the control of the pirate named Ganzack, who ruled over a small island for a mysterious purpose. Stranded on the island, Luffy and Zorro come across Medaka, an armored girl seeking to save his father who is enslaved by Ganzack along with the other inhabitants of the island. What is Ganzack’s true goal!?
The book is a novelisation of the special anime with the same title produced for Jump Super Anime Tour ’98. Produced at Production I.G, the anime had limited theatrical runs in 1998, preceding the Toei Animation-produced TV anime series that debuted later in 1999.
One Piece is a manga series created by Eiichiro Oda, The manga follows the adventures a Luffy, a boy who has the ability to stretch his body like rubber from eating a devil fruit and dreams of becoming the pirate king. He and his pirate crew sails the seas in search of the One Piece, a legendary treasure hidden by the pirate king Gol D. Roger before his death. The manga has been serialised in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine since 1997 and has been collected into 101 volumes at the time of this writing.
The TV anime adaptation had been aired in Indonesia by RCTI and Global TV, and the theatrical films have also been screened in Indonesia. The manga is published by Elex Media Komputindo.
