Comments
If you still feel heartbroken after watching Scum’s Wish, then Tsukigakirei can be a remedy. The premise is simple, but Tsukigakirei nails it. The awkwardness between the two main leads are conveyed very well. The dialogues are minimal, but their body language, gestures, and facial expressions showed how they communicate: shy, timid, and innocent. The visuals looked simple but lovely, using soft colors to make it humbler. The lively athmosphere of their middle school makes Tsukigakirei feels realistic and down to earth.
If you’re looking for a romance anime which focused on drama and complicated relationship, Tsukigakirei definitely isn’t for you. An Indonesian writer, Tere Liye, once said “A true love is always simple”. Tsukigakirei is an anime which describes love as a simple, innocent, and honest relationship. If you are looking for a romance anime with sweet, simple love story like One Week Friends or Tamako Love Story, Tsukigakirei is definitely for you.
