Their task is to protect Eren and Historia (formerly Krista). Comments

Attack on Titan Season 3 seems to be presenting a completely different story. No longer telling the story about human survival againts Titans, the new season is all about the story of conflict between humans behind the walls. Or, more precisely, between Levi’s Team against the Military Police special forces whose origins has not been revealed in the first episode. One important character who seems to be associated with these troops, Kenny, is also immidiately introduced here

If the secret about Titan’s origins has been revealed “by a little” in the second season, Attack on Titans‘s latest season seems to be focusing on the origins and secrets of the royal family behind the walls. The initial clues had also emerged from Historia (no longer called Krista Lenz) whose story of her past had been told at a glance. The past story of the blonde girl who had been “left away” by Ymir might be revealed more in the upcoming episode.

With diferent nuance, complete with the opening theme sung by Yoshiki (former member of legendary band X-Japan) and Hyde that feels more mellow and melancholy, Attack on Titan Season 3 will present a mystery story around the anime’s universe that its fans have been waiting for As someone who already follows the comic series, I feel optimistic that an important arc from this series will also be adapted in this season (which for now I call it the “Coming Home” arc to avoid spoilers).
