Indonesian TV station Rajawali Televisi (RTV) has aired My Hero Academia anime series in Indonesia since July 18 2020, airing every Saturday and Sunday at 1800 West Indonesia Time. On Thursday (30/7), the TV station has announced in a Facebook post that it will continue to air the second season as well.

RTV airs the series with Indonesian dub produced by Studio Erfas, which has dubbed various foreign programmes for Indonesian TV stations such as Indosiar, ANTV, TV7 (now TRANS7). The main character Izuku Midoriya, or Deku, is voiced by Mahindra Yudha Permana, who also dubbed Son Goku in Dragon Ball Super. Deku’s childhood friend and rival, Bakugou Katsuki, is voiced by Tri Adi. Bonar takes on the role of two U.A. teachers, Shota Aizawa, a.k.a. Eraser Head, and Hizashi Yamada , a.k.a. Present Mic. Rudi Sukistiyono stars as the class 1-A’s leader Tenya Iida. The top hero and Deku’s idol, All Might is dubbed by Rio Fitra, who previously dubbed Evolto in RTV’s airing of Kamen Rider Build.

My Hero Academia anime series is adapted from a manga series with the same name by Kohei Horikoshi. The manga has been serialized in Weekly Shounen Jump since 2014. The series tells of a boy named Izuku Midoriya who was born without any super powers in a world where most of the population possess superhuman abilities called “quirk”. In spite of that, he still wants to be a superhero by applying to the superhero school, U.A. High School. His fate changed when he met with his idol, the top hero All Might.

The manga has been adapted into an anime series and has aired for four seasons in 2016, 20172018, and 2019. A fifth season of the anime has been confirmed to be produced. The series has also included two feature films, the first is My Hero Academia The Movie – Two Heroes that was released in Japan 2018 and shown in Indonesia in the same year. The second is My Hero Academia The Movie -Heroes: Rising- that has been released in December 2019 in Japan and has been licensed to be shown in Indonesia. In Indonesia the manga has been published by m&c!.

Other than anime, RTV has also been airing various tokusatsu shows such as Kamen Rider series, Super Sentai series, Power Rangers series, and Ultraman series.
